Educational Advocacy

You and your student deserve all the resources you can get to achieve success. But sometimes navigating the IEP, 504 plan, IFSP, and getting accommodations in college and beyond seems like an uphill battle. We are here to help you be empowered and educated about your rights and resources.

We offer

  • Document review for IEPs, 504 plans, IFSP, and college accommodations

  • We provide feedback about learning goals, accommodations, and recommendations to support your student or yourself.

  • We can assist in developing new resources and getting them approved through your state board of education

  • Participation in IEP meetings

  • Assistance for college and graduate students in getting access to accommodations at their institutions.

  • Education about educational rights for parents and students.

Dr. Stoddard, has both personal knowledge and educational training that empower her to be an advocate for students who have special needs.

She holds a MEd, in curriculum and instruction (Freed-Hardeman University) with an emphasis on special education. As an educator, Dr. Stoddard has both supported students having disabilities in her own classroom and has assisted them in securing support and resources from their colleges and universities.

Personally, Dr. Stoddard also used accommodations to successfully obtain her PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry (University of Mississippi). She has been a participant in many IEP meetings, assisting parents to advocate for their student's needs and helping them secure resources that enabled their student's success. She has also navigated the complex process of getting new accommodations approved for testing situations for students in K12.
