We all belong in the room and that is exactly what The STEM Cohort® is instilling in each of the STEM career aspiring students that participates. The STEM Cohort® is an affinity-based mentoring initiative centering Black and African American cultural values with the goal of broadening participation in STEM. Learning Concepts Institute® is proud to sponsor The STEM Cohort® which is now licensed through the L & Leola Educational Advancement Foundation non-profit 501(c)3.
The STEM Cohort® which was originally founded through Learning Concepts Institute® is continuing to expand this dynamic program into a national mentoring model that supports and uplifts persons excluded because of ethnicity or race (PEER) in STEM fields.​

The four-year plus mentoring program provides both access to opportunities for students in college and also springboards students to success in life after graduation. WHAT STEM SCHOLARS SAY
As a current Black STEM student, adjusting to the rigorousness of college has been hard. Sometimes I wonder if I'm able to succeed, but with STEM Cohort Program, I feel like there are people in my corner that have my back.
I feel more strongly now that I belong in STEM because I get the privilege of talking to and meeting with those who look like me and are older than me. As a result, I know that if they can do it, I can do it too.
This program has broadened the subjects that I was considering for my future career paths and has made me more passionate and determined to go into a STEM field and helped me be confident in the fact that I belong in a STEM major.
